I am going to take a minute here away from our normally pop-culture centered posts to talk a bit about how I feel about the military. I am not much of a patriot, but I do deeply appreciate the service that our military provides to us, and I think they deserve respect for risking their lives for us! I was in a 3rd world country this summer that has suffered the ravages of war, and it made me VERY thankful for all that America’s soldiers do for us!

Our family has participated in the following
card
drive for the past several years. This is a
great holiday gift for those who are currently
serving in the Middle East. It makes the
holidays brighter for our military personnel –
especially for those who may not have families
at
home to correspond with.
What you do is purchase Christmas cards to send
to military personnel overseas. You may
personalize these cards by writing messages
inside and sharing information. The cards are
mailed to a central location and then sent to
military personnel overseas. The card drive is
October 1st through November 20th.
Please read below for information for
guidelines
and mailing address.
